Scentient is creating a new type of wearable device that delivers scents to the digital experience. This has a wide range of applications, from VR experiences to museum exhibits, and even COVID-related olfactory dysfunction treatments. Whilst on the CRL Accelerator, we worked with them to turn a proof of concept into a working prototype and develop a conceptual design. We then combined these into a fully-functional, high-fidelity model.
Scentient is now refining the design to prepare for batch manufacture and testing. The team is also working on a desktop version of the device for medical and mindfulness applications, which will allow them to test and iterate the internals without space constraints.
